Nulo was founded by a former biomedical engineer who was determined to find the root cause of the dramatic increase of overweight and diabetic pets. Determining that a major contributor was pet food full of carbohydrate fillers and high levels of plant-based proteins instead of real meat protein, Nulo was formed. Designed with the help of animal nutritionists, veterinarians, and food formulators, Nulo’s recipes are 80% animal-based proteins. We love that these formulas are made mostly of real meat, no filler or plant-based proteins here.
